This is a question This book changed my life

The Goat writes, "Some books have made a huge impact on my life." It's true. It wasn't until the b3ta mods read the Flashman novels that we changed from mild-mannered computer operators into heavily-whiskered copulators, poltroons and all round bastards in a well-known cavalry regiment.

What books have changed the way you think, the way you live, or just gave you a rollicking good time?

Friendly hint: A bit of background rather than just a bunch of book titles would make your stories more readable

RE:Shit Question
I realise I may have upset a few characters yesterday with my 'tongue in cheek' comment regarding the whimsical nature of this question. I was only pointing out that this question is not as funny as previous questions. So calm the fuck down and count to ten. Other people have wrote worse things on here before so before you all condemn me to hell and compare me to Hitler, Attila the Hun and other sorts of wrong doers I suggest you all take a long look at other responses to other questions. And pointing out spelling mistakes.... we all know that only fucking twats do that. You are the sort of people who through the guardian with a red pen a write to the editor the next day informing them of there errors. So fuck off, I’m off to read Jordans autobiography.

Oh yes, you're so right!
It's really great to see a really well-established member of b3ta come out and say exactly what they mean.

For far too long we've laboured under the hammer of educated and erudite argument. What we really need now are more b3tans who stand on the sidelines and stamp their feet when the qotw doesn't contain ideas or words they understand.

Now fuck off.

Nah. I was just bored.
Although I must note that you didn't capitalize "Guardian", and it's "their errors". And you forgot an apostrophe in "Jordan's". And it's "written" rather than "wrote".

In any case, periodically some of us prefer a QOTW that actually makes one think and may contain insights that we appreciate. Something other than stories about shitting oneself in public and the like. So if you're not happy with this week's question, ignore it until Thursday and find something else to do with your time.

And in case that was a bit too much to read all at once- go fuck off.

Have a nice week.

Dear Mr. VaginaTesticles
It seems that your problem is not caused by lack of literary experience but more by you feeling insecure with yourself. Instead of slagging other people off for being highbrow, just learn to be comfortable with your lowbrow tastes. Not all books that we mentioned are highbrow, so if, for example you had a life-changing experience while reading a book called "Me and my Poo", feel free to share it with us. If the question isn't funny enough for you, maybe some of the answers will be. If you've got a lot to learn, then learn a lot. It may be a long road but it's a very scenic path.

I feel secure enough in myself to admit that when reading Chickenlady's reply, I did not know the meaning of the word 'erudite'. So what did I do? Did I start whingeing about her being too highbrow or pretentious? Did I fuck! I looked up the meaning of the word (the Firefox plugin Dict is good for this) and added it to my vocabulary.

Have a nice day.

PS. Although we have highbrow tastes, we can be lowbrow with the best of them when the time comes.

Pointing out spelling mistakes
is an attempt to keep us from the YouTube eloquence of

OMFG u is gay lolz!!!!!!

Our society revels in ignorance and stupidity. B3ta is here to fight it.

.
"And pointing out spelling mistakes.... we all know that only fucking twats do that." is an odd way of spelling "I'm feeling insecure with myself and am unwilling to make any effort in self-improvement".

Although I object to CaptainCuntyBollocks words and opinions....
I welcome him here.

Free speech is paramount.

I just wish he could put his point across more eloquently.
