This is a question This book changed my life

The Goat writes, "Some books have made a huge impact on my life." It's true. It wasn't until the b3ta mods read the Flashman novels that we changed from mild-mannered computer operators into heavily-whiskered copulators, poltroons and all round bastards in a well-known cavalry regiment.

What books have changed the way you think, the way you live, or just gave you a rollicking good time?

Friendly hint: A bit of background rather than just a bunch of book titles would make your stories more readable

Last Legends of Earth by A A Attanasio
Anyone else read this?

it wouldn't surprise me if you hadn't, but it is without doubt one of the best books I've read.

It is quite a struggle to get through, but well worth having a go if you like sci-fi, and like to be challenged.

Oh yes
A.A. Attanasio can be bloody brilliant, ever read Radix? There's a whole series of novels leading up to the Last Legends of Earth too, that I'd like to find one day...

Pity his stuff's so hard to find...

I found Radix
in a secondhand bookshop not long ago. weird book, but very good

I've got another of his too, more of a fantasy thing. can't remember the name though....
