This is a question Books

We love books. Tell us about your favourite books and authors, and why they are so good. And while you're at it - having dined out for years on the time I threw Dan Brown out of a train window - tell us who to avoid.

If I ever write a cook book on army food
I’m going to name it Boar and Peas. I’ll probably never write a cook book on army food though so budding military chefs feel free to use that one (for a small fee).

Do the army eat a lot of boar?

(, Mon 9 Jan 2012, 14:50, closed)
They did in the Boar War

(, Mon 9 Jan 2012, 14:55, closed)
Hey,
Boar and war rhyme.

He could be clever here. Instead of calling it Boar and peas, if it's an army cookbook he could call it 'War and peace'.

Fuck me, I'm a clever bastard.

You know, I've NEVER heard of "The Boar War"
...and I've read quite a lot of history books.
I bow down to your obviously immense intellect. Apologies.

Obviously you haven't read enough
Taken directly from wiki

The Boar Wars (known in Afrikaans as Vryheidsoorloë (lit. "freedom wars")) were two wars fought between the British Empire and the two independent Boar republics, the Oranje Vrijstaat (Orange Free State) and the Republiek van Transvaal (Transvaal Republic).

Hmmmm
I feel the stupidity/trolling dilemma coming on.

It was worth a shot

(, Mon 9 Jan 2012, 15:57, closed)
I'm guessing initial stupidity
now attempting to be passed off as trolling.
(, Mon 9 Jan 2012, 15:59, closed)
Don't get angry just because you took the bait

(, Mon 9 Jan 2012, 16:02, closed)
*sigh*

(, Mon 9 Jan 2012, 16:04, closed)
Ooh, it's a retarded troll fight. My favourite.

And there is more parking available.

(, Mon 9 Jan 2012, 16:17, closed)
NO, NO, NO
You've got to call it 'Noms de Guerre'. I insist.
(, Mon 9 Jan 2012, 16:08, closed)
I don't often reply just to say 'Hahahahahah'
