Add a profile field for a URL of a path to your webspace
that appears on the "new post" form somewhere so you can copy it into a post instead of having to type it out every time you post an image.

Maybe it could be inserted with some special macro that is replaced with the path when the page is rendered, so if you change your web hosting, all of your images and links will remain valid in old posts.

Unless I'm reading it wrong, wouldn't this just be an aid to spamming your own site?

Seems more like an internal shortcut so people don't have to type/copy and paste their webpage URL every time they link an image they're hosting on their own site.

'coz that takes fucking HOURS.

They'll have already typed their site address when posting the image, won't they?
Lazy, that's what it is. Back in my day, the internet ran on semaphore, AND WE LIKED IT.
