This is a question Bullies

My mum told me to stand up to bullies. So I did, and got wedgied every day for a month. I hated my boss.

So he should have just let his daughter get bullied then?
*rare serious moment*

Before a lot of people get on their high horses about this, ask yourselves what you would do if it were your child, or younger sibling in the same situation?

If it were one of my stepsons on the receiving end of abuse from a peer, I'd want the perpetrators excluded too. I'm not saying I take any pleasure reading that the perpetrator eventually killed themselves, far from it, so far as I'm concerned there are two victims here. I am genuinely saddened to read that the girl concerned didn't mend her ways and go on to lead a productive life.

But to vilify someone for making the individuals responsible for the care and safety of their child during school hours actually do their job?

That's not what the negative responses are about though
They are vilifying the great pleasure he's taking in the fact that a disturbed child was raped and then committed suicide. That's in addition to the stream of abuse aimed at teachers, who are doing a very difficult job, with very little support from parents or the government.

Getting her expelled is fine, taking the teachers to task for not doing enough is also fine. Everything after that, totally wrong.

it's the happiness about THE RAPE AND SUICIDE OF A CHILD that's more than a little disgusting.

Totally agree with PJM.

It's a tragedy that the bully was raped and later killed herself but fair play to the Captain for protecting his daughter.

Cheers

You're welcome.
Hang on, what?

I'm sorry, I missed PJM's comment when I was scanning throught the replies...

I should have known that PJM would have been first on the scene to put everything into perfect perspective.

Sir, your intelligence, compassion and supreme ethical perspective are both astonishing and humbling.

Couple that with the fact that you are a dead good looking 'Action Man' type and it just makes me want to hit you over the head with a breeze block in a fit of jealous rage.
