Nope, not that wedding at least.
It stands to reason though that "popular" generally means "crap". Popular things tend to be cheap (if they're products) and/or appeal to a wide range of people -- both of which mean they're likely to dissapoint everyone in some way. Of course, some popular sruff is not crap and does well because it manages to either satisfy everyone just enough or somehow satisfy a specific need that everyone has.
