This is a question Driven to Madness

Captain Placid asks: What annoying things do significant others, workmates and other people in general do that drive you up the wall? Do you want to kill your other half over their obsessive fridge magnet collection? Driven to distraction over your manager's continued use of Comic Sans (The Font of Champions)? Tell us.

The big long pause before announcing ..................

the winner of something .It really makes me mad . I think it's Davina McCall's fault or at least that's where I started noticing it . I'm sure when I was younger it was considered rude and ill mannered to prolong someone's agony for comic effect or entertainment , now you've got time to make a cup of tea while they cut between nervous faces .And anyway , it's not even the best bit , surely there's more of that type of 'entertainment' to be had by showing the crushed bitter angry losers wailing and gnashing their teeth after the announcement . (Pearoasted from irrational hatred)

You should try watching TV in the USA
Over here they have an even more annoying tendency to cut to an advert break during such announcements. I tend to turn the shows off at that point. It's rare that I care that much about the result to watch 5 minutes of shit advertising for products I'm never going to buy in order to get 5 seconds of "excitement" as some retard is told exactly how much of a retard he or she is.

I noticed it first with...

Chris 'Final Answer? Followed by half an hour of inane chuntering and preposterously long pauses' Tarrant

I'm surprised they get through any more than 1 question a week on that fucking show.
