Ive done that.As a student, I poured a bit of hot fat down the drain which solidified and blocked the u-bend. I found this out while doing the dishes later and the sink wouldnt drain.
I unscrewed the u-bend and collected the sink-full of manky water in a bucket, which I poured down the drain - which promptly pissed all over the cupboard under the sink.
Dammit.
