i've long thoughtjuries should be comprised of lawyers. there's tens of thousands of solicitors, so it wouldn't take up too much time, and at least we would understand the basic legal principles. the number of crims who get off or spend sinful sums of tax payers' money on appeals because "the judge misdirected the jury on the exact meaning of the word 'rape'"...
