This is a question Famous people I hate

Michael McIntyre, says our glorious leader. Everyone loves Michael McIntyre. Even the Daily Mail loves Michael McIntyre. Therefore, he must be a git. Who gets on your nerves?

Hint: A list of names, possibly including the words 'Katie Price' and 'Nuff said' does not an interesting answer make

It's for a new generation though, isn't it?

Admittedly, I'm a fan of Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker [whose Dr I grew up with], but I can genuinely say that some of the David Tennant stories have been brilliant, even though they didn't feature cardboard sets or extras dressed up in rubber suits.

IMO, none of the new episodes can even hold a candle up to "Pyramids of Mars" / "Image Of The Fendhal" / "The Curse of Peladon" etc, but that was a different age, a different time, and now we are grown-ups, let us not forget.

Torchwood was overly coloured by Davies' relentless hammering of his Gay Agenda, but even so - it had some good moments...

I'm a fan
of old and new.

Some people love the new version but can't get away with the old, and vice versa. Such is life. It's all subjective, innit?

The saving grace though, for kids now captivated by Dr Who is that there's this whole canon from the "classic" series waiting for them to discover. However, whether they'd even see it as the same show is a different matter.

My missus works with a 12 year old autistic kid
Who actually prefers the old series (although Tennant is his favourite Doctor).

Jellybaby?
I think the new Doctor Who is brilliant (never Dr Who come on! minus 10 geek points)

Tom Baker was my favorite until Tenant somtimes he was a bit manic goggly eyed but mostly he played a blinder.

When Catherine Tate was going to be the new assistant I paniced but the writing made up for the fact I didn't like her and eventualy she was brilliant

Torchwood is scooby doo without the comedy dog ;)
