Fire!We were all in my aunt's kitchen at the back of her huge rambling Victorian house. I was only small and had wandered off to go to the loo, but given up after finding the hall full of smoke. "That was quick," my mum said after a few minutes. "Yes - it's all smoky," I replied.
I've never seen adults move so fast.
So, like my cousin who'd managed to set fire to the roof, tell us your fire stories.

On a shorter noteWhen based in a university research station in surrey, I used to get in that psychotic state after working all day and night only drinking very strong coffee with loads of sugar. At this point when it's 2 hours before security come round again, it was always fun to take a huge dispenser of 100% ethanol and draw a picture on the gravel in the car park, set it alight and smoke something while gazing at the blue flames.
Unfortunately, this also used to char the pattern in the gravel, so the 30 foot pentagram i drew(you can draw one without turning off the tap, same as not having the pencil leave the paper)led to huge enquiries about whether there was a Satanic Cult in the area.
OOPS.
