This is a question First World Problems

Onemunki says: We live in a world of genuine tragedy, starvation and terror. So, after hearing stories of cruise line passengers complaining at the air conditioning breaking down, what stories of sheer single-minded self-pity get your goat?

People who think Richard Dawkins is shrill/spiky/ascerbic...
...but who haven't actually listened to what he says and how he says it. He's a lovely old bloke, very polite, who just doesn't suffer fools gladly.

hmm
you must admit, he does go on a bit

Yes, the often infantile voices of several billion faith followers.
Disclaimer: often, not always.

If you love Richard Dawkins so much, why don't you go live there?

I wholeheartedly like this reply.
I was going to cobble up some turd about God hating Dawkins but instead I'm going to steal this.

Since you agree with me...
...you are undoubtedly correct and wonderful in every respect.

Love most of his books
but he comes across as a ranty nutter in a couple of them. Understandably so I guess, considering the amount of retards he must have to deal with. But he's also got himself partly to blame because he is rather opinionated on the subject.

He's at his best when he's talking about evolutionary biology and refusing to engage with creationists and at his worst when he abandons his scientific subject in favour of attacking those who annoy him.

Agreed.
This post really hits the nail on the head.

I don't find him the best advert for atheism tbh
But it's very revealing that so many religious commentators attack him on the grounds he's not a very nice person rather than saying why he's wrong.

Agreed
Go Richard!

I have spent far too much time on another site based in the USA
which is pretty frequently infested by young Earth creationists. You would have to see it to believe it, the ancient, long refuted and frequently repeated lies, the fuckwittery, the rotten arguments, the dodgy grammar, the capital letters sprinked at random. And those are the more coherent ones. Some of this religious twattery can be seen on www.fstdt.com/ but that's only a sample.

It's no wonder that he gets a bit testy.
