Do you like seeing your vegetables smothered in the mixture of manure & insects they grew in before you eat them? surely washing that off is merely the same as removing the head from the fish or the bones from meat.

It certainly represents a double standard if you claim to avoid meat due to the suffering of animals.

At the very least it represents poor use of the term 'vegetarian', seeing as fish aren't vegetables. Or am I way behind on taxonomy?

Do you care what happens to your garbage after you throw it out? No.

There are always people doing the dirty work, be it collecting garbage or killing mackerels with their bare teeth.

Pretending one should care where the food is coming from is similar to stating that you have an interest in your garbage past disposal. Let me know when you start tracking the shit you just flushed to see where it goes.
