sounds like my Mum..my Dad is useless at anything practical it seems, so far my Mum has taught me all my (limited) DIY and Car skills; from rewiring a plug to changing car wheels, all taught to me by my Mum.
However, her taste in music is shit, so I pay attention to my Dad for those bits.
