Something similar happened to me at GlastonburyMy sister found a knife with two blades - one pointy, one like a straight razor, and not wanting to leave this lethal bastard lying around where kids could pick it up I handed it in to security, who then spent a couple of hours quizzing me as to where I'd found it, what I wanted to do with it etc.
Oh and while reporting my phone stolen I found a pill on the floor of the police station. Thankfully the copper was a lot more sensible in this case and just threw it away without giving me the third degree.
