Back in my dayit was 01 811 8181. Presumably asking what the number is to call Saturday morning kids' TV is an accurate method of calculating someone's age, like carbon dating or counting the rings of a tree...

That's how I remember it as wellIt never seemed to work as well with 0181, and I think the presenters knew it.
