This is a question Political Correctness Gone Mad

Freddy Woo writes: "I once worked on an animation to help highlight the issues homeless people face in winter. The client was happy with the work, then a note came back that the ethnic mix of the characters were wrong. These were cartoon characters. They weren't meant to be ethnically anything, but we were forced to make one of them brown, at the cost of about 10k to the charity. This is how your donations are spent. Wisely as you can see."

How has PC affected you? (Please add your own tales - not five-year-old news stories cut-and-pasted from other websites)

I was dahn sarf yesterday at a meeting
and on the way back to Heathrow, we were driving by Henley and Maidenhead. On the way, we passed a roadside hostelry called the Black Boys Inn. I commented to my colleague that it was surprising they were allowed to call it that in these PC times.

"Aye", he said jokingly, "But they have renamed it. Up until last year it was the Black Bastards Inn!"

I was amused. Especially when he got a Daily Mail to read on the plane on the way back.

I know that pub, I do
Unfortunately, it wasn't called the Black Bastards Inn but they did (fairly) recently change the sign outside from a picture of two young gentlemen of African descent to a picture of two white boys with brushes covered in soot. That makes it ok then, having a pub called the Black Boys Inn and having a picture of two white boys on the outside. Much better.
