This is a question Political Correctness Gone Mad

Freddy Woo writes: "I once worked on an animation to help highlight the issues homeless people face in winter. The client was happy with the work, then a note came back that the ethnic mix of the characters were wrong. These were cartoon characters. They weren't meant to be ethnically anything, but we were forced to make one of them brown, at the cost of about 10k to the charity. This is how your donations are spent. Wisely as you can see."

How has PC affected you? (Please add your own tales - not five-year-old news stories cut-and-pasted from other websites)

Can't believe no-one's said...
Surely someone would have mentioned...
Pastafarianism. Hey, if they can claim they need special religious holidays, then I can claim that my deity, the Flying Spaghetti Monster has told me to pray to him down the pub every Friday afternoon.

OK, *why* not?

(If you have no idea what I'm talking about, see www.venganza.org/ for more)

^THIS^
Oh, and Frisbeetarianism. When you die, your soul ends up on the roof, never to come down. Until such day asThe Cleaner (or something) comes, who takes all the souls, and burns them on the ceremonial fire.

Apparently during the 2001 census
Naturists were being encouraged to write "nudist" on the form as their religion. Allegedly if there are 10000 or more followers of any religion, then it has to be recognised officially, and so they would be allowed to wander about in public in the buff with legal protection.

I don't think it worked, judging by the lack of naked people walking the streets!

Same thing* with 'jedi'. IIRC, the legal stuff was bollocks.

*well, apart from the nudity. Nerdity, maybe.
