This is a question Pubs

Jeccy writes, "I've seen people having four-somes, fights involving spastics and genuine retarded people doing karaoke, all thanks to the invention of the common pub."

What's happened in your local then?

Oh the nights I had here:
manchesterbars.wordpress.com/2006/11/06/manchester-press-club/

I used to be a member in 1995-6 Back in those days pubs closed at 11 something. This place was open until 6.

Going home on the first bus of the morning. What a way to be.

Anyone else been there?

Me Me Me
Before the days of all day opening we worked out a pubcrawl in Manchester that meant you could drink for 24 hours. Did it once. Was sick inna hedge.

Cheers

Indeed I do, happy days
I also know a guy who used to drink there called Colin Press. Turned up one day with his passport and demanded to be allowed in to drink. Doorman just shrugged his shoulders and laughed

Still going strong.
There's a posh version opened now, The Circle Club, but it's just full of scrotes and Cheshire gangsters.

Oh yes, you can't beat getting to the Press Club at 4am, pished as hell, to watch Coronation Street *stars* singing a very bad version of, "I Will Survive".
