This is a question Pubs

Jeccy writes, "I've seen people having four-somes, fights involving spastics and genuine retarded people doing karaoke, all thanks to the invention of the common pub."

What's happened in your local then?

Wedding reception,
Haberman: "I'll have a Black Russian"

Bar: "Eh? What's that?"

H: "Oh, it's half vodka, half Kahlua"

B: /half fills a 250ml glass with vodka, tops up with Kahlua

H: "Thanks"

H: /wanders off, needing no more alcoholic beverages for the immediate future

EDIT: reading back a page or few ... thankfully I didn't ask for a white russian instead!

What a kind hearted barman!
Wish they were like that where I go drinking...

The groom was officer.army.au,
... and so, so was the w/reception and barman.

So a measure of generosity was to be expected... but the equivalent of 5 doubles in a single glass!?

..about my limit for a normal night, and I'm a regular drinker!

I thought
A Black Russian was Vodka, Tia Maria and Coke?
(, Thu 12 Feb 2009, 18:08, closed)
That would be
a long Black Russian, lengthened with cola to make it a longer drink, in line with a White Russian that is lengthened with cream/milk.

A Black Russian is a short drink, sometimes over crushed/cubed ice.

Not quite
Kahlua and Tia Maria are interchangeable as they are both coffee flavoured liquors, just using different coffee beans for flavouring.

haha
A bit like this one time at band camp on the college ski trip to Italy. Was in a bar and the barman had no idea what a shot was. Vodka and coke was mostly vodka. They served ridiculous amounts of sambuca too. I was wasted by the end of that and I vomited all over the hotel bathroom- good job it was the last night of the trip.
