This is a question Racist grandparents

It Came From Planet Aylia says: "My husband's mad Auntie Joan accused the man seven doors down of stealing her milk as he was the first black neighbour she had. She doesn't even get her milk delivered." Tell us about casual racism from oldies.

Thanks to Brayn Dedd who suggested this too

Don't get me wrong...
I said it was not about about race, I was just making a point that there is a difference between race and nationality.

We discriminate (literal meaning of the word, rather than any derogatory meaning) at our borders against every nationality apart from the EU nations. This may well be for the reasons you describe.

There was criticism of the immigration and citizenship acts that formed the basis of UK immigration law. The British Nationality Act in 1981 was very contentious as it concerned the commonwealth and ex colonies.

I don't know enough about this though to really say much else

Fuck, it was the 80s
Thatcher screwed pretty much everyone equally - best thing you could say about her. When it came to fucking people over, she rarely discriminated
