This is a question Random Acts of Kindness

Crackhouseceilidhband asks: Has anyone ever been nice to you, out of the blue, for no reason? Have you ever helped an old lady across the road, even if she didn't want to? Make me believe that the world is a better place than the media and experience suggest

Scaryduck's post reminded me of this...
When I lived in London, a homeless guy in a supermarket doorway asked me for some change. I genuinely hadn't got any, but while I was in the shop I bought him a sandwich. When I handed it to him on my way out he looked at the packet and said "No thanks, I'm a vegetarian".

.
When living in Brazil, used to get kids begging at traffic lights. They used to look pitifully at you, holding their stomachs to say 'I'm hungry'.

Once saw a woman hand a sandwich out the window to one of them, who swatted it out of her hand and trod on it.

Vegetarians eh?
Fussy weird cunts with their organic handknitted pasta, I hope they all die of being pale from not eating REAL RED MEAT.

(I may have a slight interest in the meat industry)

Since SB is made from industrial waste and rubbing alcohol, probably.
However, beer in general is a difficult area. Some ale, for example, is cleared using isinglass finings - made from the swim bladder of a fish*. Although the finings should have been removed before you get it, it's quite fun to tell Vegans that just as they're about to sup, and watch them struggle with the idea that animal products were used in the process, even if they're no longer present...

* How the festering wank did anyone think to try that?
