This is a question Road Trip

Gather round the fire and share stories of epic travels. Remember this is about the voyage, not what happened when you got there. Any of that shite and you're going in the fire.

A walking trip
consisting of an average of 20 miles a day, for 15 days.

It went: left, right, left, right, quite a lot.

But worth it: changed my feeling of distance for ever.

Gives a sense of perspective.

I could see myself doing something like this.
Or, rather, I'd like to think I could. Whether I'd get round to it is another matter. Props to you for actually doing it.

I walked a week of the Pilgrim's Way in north Spain
Not as far as you, but it was very satisfying that the bus trip back took so long!

Spot on.
I schlepped the Ridgeway a coupla years back. When you can plot your walk on a GLOBE you know you've walked somewhere.

Didn't manage 20 miles a day, though. You are clearly less fat and rubbish than me.

I'd quite like to do this
I go walking in the Lake District a couple of times a year, and I've recently dreamed of walking the hightops of Europe, but my knees are starting to give out.

This sounds like a decent alternative to me. And I like the idea of plotting the route on a globe - that's old style adventuring that is.
