I was in charge of the school printing shop - this was before the days of affordable computer printers, so we had Adana printing presses. Much hilarity with swarfega fights, flicking gobs of green gloop at each other using metal rulers. Good clean fun (arf).

We too hit on the idea of flogging stuff - we had a kettle in the shop, so we'd sell tea and coffee out of the window. It didn't last, though, because the stupid buggers couldn't understand the necessity of returning the cups, as opposed to, say, leaving them scattered around for even the most brain-dead teacher to spot and wonder over.
