Just make sure you have some kind of legal paperwork involving medical decisions and the likeProvided such things are necessary where you live -- I've had friends who believed legal marriage was 'nothing more than a piece of paper', but then found themselves in situations where that paper (or a power-or-attorney piece of paper) would have spared them a lot of legal wrangling, money spent and emotional pain endured. A hundred quid is just paper, too, but I wouldn't turn it down!
