This is a question Shops and Supermarkets

I used to work in a supermarket where the girl on the deli counter cut off the top of her finger in the meat slicer, but was made to finish her shift before going to hospital. You can now pay £100 to shoot zombies in the store's empty shell, haunted by poor dead nine-finger deli girl. Tell us your tales of the old retail experience, from either side of the counter

Women
don't take men shopping.

We don't bloody like it.

^^^this x 1000
plus they fail to understand the difference between shopping and buying.
Buying is knowing what you want, then going and getting it and coming home.
Shopping is wandering round in ever decreasing circles until you disappear up your own arsehole, and never actually buying anything.

The following exceptions are allowed:
- beer;
- barbecue meat and supplies;
- cars;
- partners for a threesome.

also
musical equipment and surfboards

or anything for me.

Usually for all these exceptions we know what we want and just go out and get it as per localboy

yes, and...
- pointless and expensive gadgets

You forgot
Power tools
Hot sauce
Snacks (or you'll end up with those shitty crisps made from assorted non-potato tubers)
Anything remotely toxic
Decorating materials (or you'll end up with cheap emulsion that's about the same consistency as milk)

very much this^
especially the hot sauce.
i've found that if the wife asks you to do the grocery shopping, spending £25 on hot sauces will almost guarantee you won't be asked again

This^
Also, shopping with other people regardless of gender is pretty annoying anyway.

Expanding on the theme
We don't care what clothes you buy and we certainly don't want to spend an hour watching you try them on. (Except bikini's maybe.)
We don't give a shit about curtains either.
And we both know the only reason you insist on dragging me around Next is because otherwise I might be off enjoying myself and the thought terrifies you.

^^^^This^^^^. I love my G/F dearly but she does love to shop. I bought my outfit for a wedding we were going to in 2 shops over a period of 45 minutes - shoes included. She bought hers over a period of 5 weekends (and 3 towns!) and STILL didn't like the shoes!
