I took my mate to M&S for his first ever food shopping trip.He was 20 and in his second year at university. Until that point his mother had cooked his meals and delivered them to him in little takeaway trays with the name of the day of the week and the re-heating instructions on top in superneat mum writing.
He was particularly nervous buying loose potatoes as he didn't know what they'd cost. He was dazzled by my ability to guess "about a quid". DAZZLED.
