This is a question Real-life slapstick

Fact: When someone walks into a lamp-post it makes a very satisfying and hugely hilarious "Ding!" noise. However, it is not quite so funny when the post is in the middle of town and you are the victim. Tell us about hilarious prat-falls.

Thanks to Bob Todd for the suggestion

The Fridge
Whilst putting away the milk, I once shut my nose in the fridge door right in front of my appreciative mates who I was making cups of tea for.

I was stone cold sober, and no, I don't have a big nose.
I just forgot to move out of the way when shutting the door.

It really hurt and cut the right-hand side of my nose.

don`t give me that
You were trying to check if the light went out, go-on admit it!

The light goes out?
Whilst on the subject of fridges, I get ridiculed for keeping my condiments in the fridge.
Even though it says on them "once open, keep refrigerated".

It's the people that keep their ketchups, brown sauces and mustards in cupboards that are the wronguns! And come the counter-revolution, they will know us.

Nah
Hot food + cold sauce = Fail.

That doesn't work
As sauce from the cupboard is still considerably cooler than the food.
The temperature difference between fridge and cupboard ketchup makes no odds.

Room temperature being 20-25 C, and fridges being usually around 3 C
quite a noticable difference.

Although we keep most condiments in the cupboard apart from tomato ketchup. No idea why ketchup deserves the privilege.

Not on a hot chip it isn't

BUTTER!!!
While on the subject... where does butter go?

My family has always put it in a little butter dish in the cupboard and now so do I, but seemingly everyone else on the planet keeps it in the fridge and looks at me like I'm a dribbling simpleton for putting it in the cupboard.

I just don't get why you would make butter so cold that it's impossible to spread on toast without ripping said toast to shreds.

Butter should be kept out, hence the lids you get for butter trays
Margarine/spread should be kept in the fridge (or bin)
