Personally, last month a scantily clad young woman confused me with her fiance, with whom I share a first and last name. I'm still not sure she's noticed, but she's going to be mortified when she does.

Good pointIt's pretty hard nosed, but the above's right. Don't agree to anything before getting the legal advice, and hopefully it'll limit any material damage.
On the emotional side, only thing I can say is to remember the old saying "this too shall pass." Holds true in bad times fortunately, also holds true in good times unfortunately.
