Terrible ParentingMy parents used to lock my brother, sister and I in the car while they went to the pub for a "quick one" after work. This quick one might last several hours, during which they would send bottles of Indian Tonic Water to us by way of refreshment.
On one particularly cold evening, bored stupid, we lit a small bonfire on the back seat of the car using the cigarette lighter and the contents of the glove box. We owe our lives to passing winos. (BTW: Please no more Maddie or Jesus gags, they've been done.)

Not sure if this counts but ........When I was about 5 or 6 my mother took me shopping in town but decided to drop me off at the cinema while she went round the shops. The film was 3/4 through but she convinced the usherette to let me in thinking I'd watch the 1st 3/4 afterwards. Trouble was I got confused and thought that as the film was over I should leave. I waited outside the cinema for over an hour thinking I'd been abandoned. Luckily she walked past and saw me crying.
I told you I had issues.
