every rap 'song' ever which has used a 'sample' of actual proper musician's talented songwriting and musicianship is an act of wholesale musical appropriation.
Typical thieving blacks.

Samples are generally paid for, but not by the like of The KLF and Vanilla Ice
Typical thieving whites.

Back in 1992, Utah Saints had a hit with "Something Good", including a Kate Bush sample
Now this was one of the first mainstream hit records to feature a sample of another record, and this was before licensed samples had been thought of, so a journalist contacted Ms Bush to see what she thought of her work being "stolen" so shamelessly.

Clearly they were expecting the sexy hermit to complain about her work being misused, her livelyhood being ripped out from under her etc etc. It was quite fun to hear them floundering when Kate responded that she thought it was a really creative piece of music and she hoped they did well with it.

Insert obligatory Kate Bush letchery here
