I'm from a redneck town...And a large group of the somewhat insane portion of the population had plans to take arms against the government if the price of gasoline rose about $5 per gallon. Oh yes, they said, it was their constitutional right and duty to build a militia of the people in order to cause a civil war, death and destruction...
...just because it might cost a lot of money to drive their 32 megafuckton truck 2 blocks to the donut shop.
My queries about owning a smaller vehicle or walking, to them, seemed more absurd than doin' lots of killin'.
