This is a question My most treasured possession

What's your most treasured possession? What would you rescue from a fire (be it for sentimental or purely financial reasons)?

My Great-Uncle left me his visitors book which along with boring people like the Queen and Harold Wilson has Spike Milligan's signature in it. It's all loopy.

Either that or my Grandfather's swords.

Camping Bag
If my house should ever burn down with all my things in it, I know for a fact that I would take my big green army rucksack.

That's because it has the following in:

- Camping stove and pans
- Various tinned foods
- Emergency £20 note
- Passport
- Driving license
- A little bit of very dry Golden Virginia, and some rizlas
- Sleeping bag
- Tent
- Torch
- Penknife
- Several jumpers and bits of underwear
- A flask of shit whiskey

I would also grab my helmet and my gloves, and fuck off out of the country on my bike. My posessions are the only things stopping me from doing that right now.

Oh, and I also have a bronze cross on a chain given to me 5 years ago by one of my best mates. I always keep it safe, though I think she's long forgotten about giving it to me. She's one of the most wonderful people I've ever met, oddly I've never even told her that but I think she knows.

dry tobacco - wee bit of a tip for ya
it is quite easy to rehydrade dry tobacco - if its a fag - pop it in your mouth wrong way round right up to the filter and slowly force air deep from you lungs few puffs of warm moist air - bing! smoother smoke

rolling tobacco - get a hankie (cotton) or similar peice of cloth sprinkle the tobacco on it then fold loosley over - pop this over a mug or small pan with some recently boiled water and let it steam for a few mins

also, there is no such thing as shit whisky - if it is scotch it will be good. i've worked with the trade for years even the cheapest supermarket blends are all made by respected distillers to very high standards - the have to, there are very strict laws governing scotch
