We voted WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange as B3ta's Person of the Year. Who do you have as 2010's scoundrel and why?

For coming out of retirement. Your last decent book was desperation. You should've retired then. The only people reading your books now are completists. Give it a rest. In fact there's another van out there with your name on. Go look for it.

Don't...just don't

I've not read the Dark Tower series
But my missus has. She said the sixth and final book should've been called 'Fuck it, That'll Do'

Agreed - I was so pissed off at the end, and at myself for wasting so much of my life on it

Maybe that's because
There was another book? "Dark Tower VII - The Dark Tower" I believe it was called.

I'm of the opinion his last decent book was "Misery"
Since then, how many of his main characters have been novelists? It's all getting rather repititive, Stevie - give it up.

Never should have stopped drinking and taking drugs, that's where he went wrong.

You're not wrong
What's worse, they've stopped making sense. Full of plot holes, poor editing and FAR TOO FUCKING LONG.

I prefer Jonathan King.

You'd better keep quiet about that or you'll get a Gaz from him.

The Long Walk was the only thing he wrote that was any good imo.

IMHO
Firestarter was the last book worth reading (and perhaps some of the shorter 'novellas' as he puts it).

It had an ending and everything - unlike most King books.

I stopped reading his stuff around the time of the Dark Tower.
Usually, once I've started a book, I'll see it through.
Not with those I didn't.
