It was a veerryy long time agobut British gas used to sponsor some thing where if you were under 23, you could get cheap tickets for posh things.
Me and GF at the time used to go to quite a lot of stuff, like opera, ballet and classical music concerts. Every now and then, if it was a quiet night, you'd get a box. Used to cost about £15, but things have probably changed - this was in about 1993.
I think it's a nice ambition - it's quite doable. It's the kind of thing you should put a tenner a week away for, and when you have the money, splurge it.
