I was discussing webcomics in real life with a friend who also posts on here (sometimes).We came up with the theory that Gold subscribers to... er... a popular god-awful pun-based zero-effort webcomic would have access to a 4th frame every day. One that would actually make it funny.

I'm almost certain they do.It does seem that most 4-panel webcomics, without the 4th panel, are complete toss. It's like when you take the 4th panel off Peanuts comic strips, and they're somehow even more depressing.
