Also:
Breaking bad
The wire
The west wing
Curb your entheausiasm
24
The shield
The sopranos
Game of thrones
Misfits
Basically - i cant be fucked watching billions of hours of TV because lots of people keep saying something is good. My TV viewing time is less than ever these days thanks to the innernet.

but from that list just download the wire, madmen and game of thrones , discard the rest. me and the other half make a ritual of 1 or 2 episodes after the littleun has dozed off each night. its the only tv we watch all week. heaven

Didnt they recently make a retro-ey themed series about playboy bunnies? I went to the playboy club in london on saturday and spent hours chatting to one of the bunnies. TRUFAX.

especially drama series where you have to see every episode to keep up with it. Madmen intrigues me a little more than others though I have to say.

Watched it until series 2, then i went on holiday, missed a couple of episodes, then didnt have a clue what was going on. Just as well, as it was cancelled shortly afterwards. Ive been hurt too many times with stuff i watch being cancelled while i was getting into it. Space: Above and beyond, Millennium, Dark Skies and Flash forward for instance.

the first one or two seasons were very good though.
this is why i would advocate dl'ing before buying into dvd boxsets, too often good tv shows get cancelled before their time, defying gravity, firefly and deadwood are just a few good examples

Nah, I've heard some pretty good stuff about it, and out of that list, it is the one that appeals to me the most.

Surely life is full enough of drama?
For me television cinema and theatre is for escape.

dexter
justified
deadwood (though it ended early)

check out "Justified" on FX and "Homeland" on Showtime.
"Hell on Wheels" is not too bad, either.

Good to see Margo Martindale in a strong role and Walter Goggins is always fun (also The Shield).
Homeland is pleasingly ambiguous to this point, keeps me coming back - remember Damian Lewis in Keane?
I am even keeping an open mind about Touched with Kiefer Sutherland, the pilot was better than expected.
However after seeing the development arc of Heroes I will also not be surprised if it wimps out at the end of season one and is picked up for another couple of seasons of pointless shite
