A mate of mine (possibly a terrorist) suggested:'I have this fairly simple plan for successful hijacking of a plane now. Get two hijackers. One waits until some way into the journey, and then attacks a member of the cabin crew - bit of fishing wire used as a garrotte for example.
The other hijacker makes sure they are positioned nearer the other end of the place, then when the sky marshall turns up to stop the hijacker, and draws not only his gun, but therefore draws attention to himself, the other hijacker bops him on the head and grabs his gun.
Loads cheaper than trying to get ceramic guns or the various other ways of getting firearms onto a plane'
I did however point out that this would fail spectacularly if there was indeed no marshall on his chosen flight.

and the the 2nd sky marshall shoots the second hijackerthere's always at least 2 of them, sometimes 3...
