[challenge entry] Seamless i know

I played with hues and layers for ages and couldn't get it right. Any suggestions?

Sorry... The Brentford trilogy rates as one of my favourite book reads of all time. Many of Mr Rankin's phrases have slipped into common parlance, and get used quite frequently... it's a tradition, an old charter or something.
