# 'spogs'
In the grim, benighted North (like Tomsk) they are sweeties.
Where I come from, which is pretty South, a 'spog' is a gobbet of phlegm, as in 'urgh, he spogged on the pavement!'

How we laughed.

# see?

# i'm going to have to remember this
no wonder all my southern chums look at me funny.

# In Birmingham it is possible (in the right social circles)
to spog a spog into the canal.

# i'm from the south
and have nver heared the term spog as phlegm only as the sweet

# aha!
so, it's only in the "crazy world of dr phil™" where it means snot?

the north will prevail.
