# which reminds me
I'd like to check out Phish's music but don't know quite where to start. Any recommendations? "Phish for Dummies", so to speak?

# okay
live phish probably isn't the best place to begin

but it's readily available and is oh so good.

www.gdlive.com has lots of shows in the
phish section. and tons elsewhere.

here is one sample show. i can't remember if this is an especially good show or not, but you can sample these mp3s, the setlist is pretty good.

www.gdlive.com/phish/000714/

favorites on this list include:
punch you in the eye *
timber
boogie on *
bouncing around the room (very nice song)
golgi
mike's song *
sand *
lizards *
weekapaug *
guyute *

that's basically the whole list, sorry.

* probably fairly long

[edit: stash is damn good too.]

(everyone else can enjoy too! hooray!)

[weekapaug groove for fancy improv slap bass intro solo!]

[and mike's song is so very good also. i'd love to hear what people think of some of these songs.]

[unless they're negative things. i don't want to hear those.]
