# better to 'sellout' (as u put it), than die... surely?

# hmmmmm
I always prided myself in supporting a website that doesn't run for the sake of money.
I know that rob and everyone else need money to keep the site running, but somethings just not right about this site selling out to a corporation. Ads in the newsletter were.... agreeable, but this whole Playstation stunt?
Its a bit too much.

# Why?
Before you know it it will be over, anyways. So why worry?

# we're not making adverts for sony. its merely an image competition sponsored by sony
and as im led to believe the winner gets a prize..

# i don't have a problem with the source of the money
i do have a problem with the massive volume and low b3ta-ness of the compo entries which are swamping the board.
and an even bigger problem with the way i've joined in with that; although that is my problem.

# ^this
this exactly. No problem at all with the compo itself. just the volume/"let's stick the logo on any goddamn picture we can find"-ness.
edit : and the anti-playstation entries are as bad for this as the pro ones.

# Would you rather it become a subscription site?
(, Tue 24 May 2005, 1:30, archived)
# yes.
