# hmmm
conflicting advice... my £200 nissan micra is the best car I have ever had 7 years now and still running strong and it has only had fluids, filters, a shocker and a little patch on the sill that I could do anyway as its 1 underneath so doesn't have to look good 2 I'm never going to sell it so it doesn't have to look good.

# Ha
I've got an old Micra now, it's a lot more reliable than the Escort was (had that about 18 years ago), but I really liked driving the Escort.

# it is a top car
it has gone from 85K to more than 210k in the years I have owned it, looks like a right dog like but I don't care that just means I can even leave it unlocked.

# i've got a micra and an escort :¬)
the micra is fantastic, it costs nothing to run, never breaks down, never needs new bits and has started first time every time since we got it.
The only problem is it doesn't like hills

# mine loves hills
it slows down so it can enjoy them for longer. We should stop this before everyone wants a micra and the used prices go up.

# there is a really steep hill on the A59
Here be a map

edit: well quite steep, but goes on for a long long time.

I always wait at the bottom so there is nobody infront, then I can get to about 70mph at the bottom of the hill. By the first corner I'm going about 50mph, and can just about get it back to 60mph (which is the limit) for the rest of the hill. If there is anything infront at the bottom of the hill though I'm basically screwed and have to go up at about 40mph
