# Hahaha
Poor bastards, I can think of nothing more depraved than call center work.

# Telesales
is way more depraved.

It's the "Tesco value job".

# Telesales/call centers,
Cold calling wins, but sitting in a people farm all day waiting for stoners to call you up asking about flights to amsterdam, and godawful women with their 50 kids screaming down the phone asking about the cheapest way to get to "alicanteeeee"......

*seethes*

# I sense bitter experience
By the way, what is the cheapest way to get to Alicanteeeeeee?

# NOT teletext
Even though we were told to claim this, and despite customers giving us clear evidence that they could get it cheaper on t'internet we STILL had to claim we were cheaper.

"we don't charge you for any extras, Sir"

"I don't want any extras"

"Thats fine, but our price wont escalate if you do"

"but I don't"

"Okay then...car hire?"

# I've dont that - it was an awful job
I got told off for drawing.

It's not my fault I doodle better than they draw.

and the people who call up are scum.

Scum talking to scum - this country is going to the dog.

# I discovered the perfect blag for sickies though
If you dissapear for a day or two, don't answer the phone, nobody knows where you are etc etc, then turn up as normal two days after. When they ask you where you were, claim it's "personal" and that you'd like a "quiet chat". Then tell them you've got some mental problems, nothing serious and you promise it'll never happen again. They'll keep a wide berth, never bother you and days off can be had whenever you want.

Winner.
