Still think the original BBC Micro version was the best though.
Still got fond memories of that gut wrenching adrenaline rush when the Thargoids dragged you out of hyperspace and you spent the next few minutes going 'ahh! shit! shit! aargh! holy crap!' and frantically trying to avoid getting pulverised.

that was the best version. But my BBC is long since history, so my A3000 version is the only one I have. Still brilliant though, even if the military laser isn't as kick-ass.
