Its actually a delicacy that most foreigners don't get offeredthe mama-san who served us was so impressed with my mates ability to eat everything on the menu that she offered him 'something special'. Out came a bucket of water, a hot plate and an octopus. A loud hiss and lots of rything later the poor bugger was dead. And then my mate ate it.
