I got a top tip printed once that said:

"Letterbocks fans - save yourself £2 every deca-month by simply picking up the Metro every day, as all the letters in Viz appear in there a couple of days later."

Metro stopped doing that shortly afterwards.

I once sent in an idea for a comic strip. "Ghost Bastards", with the tagline "Who ya gonna call...a cunt".

It was about a man who lived in a house haunted by the ghosts of Stalin & Hitler, and they would use all the toilet roll and stuff.

It got ignored.

I've got a complete collection of Fives
but I haven't read them since I was about 10...Smuggler's Cove is the best one I think.
