I do like a good bacon sarnie... although I tend to eat them until I get the pork sweats, which is not good.

Cold turkey is NOT the way to go
Especially if they're really bad. Getting on to alcoholics anonymous is the best thing you can do (IMO)

Advice
a) Enjoy your pork sweats, you have earned them. Why not see if you can get as far as fullblown Pigrind Cleft?
b) I would suggest seeking the advice of a professional in such matters, lest you inadvertently make matters worse. If alcoholism is the thing, Alcoholics Anonymous may be able to advise on how friends can help.
