What the hecky pecky is imageshack doing to their HTML code?
In other news, check this out
It's easier to find your b3ta uploads now.

It provides embed codes on demand, and I'm just putting in a standard uploader for when you need to host without creating a new post ;)

I've been tagging every of these with "Imageshack is shit" since I first saw it ;P
that's a nice feature there
what I'm still missing is the ability to delete images right in the thumbnail view... :)
(

The thumbnail flash thing isn't my code, but at least I provide some kind of deletion facility :P
(
cr3stmas is highly scalable, Mon 24 Sep 2007, 15:24,

ah, okay
I presume you're not allowed to alter the code then?
a right click menu with options such as delete and copy link to clipboard would be fab though
(not complaining, keep up the good work!)

I'm incapable because I'm shite at flash
(
cr3stmas is highly scalable, Mon 24 Sep 2007, 15:27,

that one's really easy
there's a class called "ContextMenu", you'd just have to add a handful of lines of code
*still not pushing*

*wanders off whistling*
sadly, I've very seldomly the time for bigger flash projects, and programming isn't my day job, so I don't know if I'd be capable to do it (I made a flash image gallery once, but that was some years ago)

Would you mind helping me with my continuing DNS problems?
I did ipconfig /all but I'm not sure what to make of it.

what does it say?
is there a "DNS" entry in the list? (or maybe two)
(
pzyko is a whaler on the moon and carries a harpoon, Mon 24 Sep 2007, 15:35,
archived)
Yes:
DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 62.6.40.162
194.72.0.98
These are both supposed to be BT's DNS servers. Do you think they're operational?
(
_Felix suspicious character from prehistoric caucasus, Mon 24 Sep 2007, 15:37,
archived)
I can't ping either of them
how are they configured? via your router or your comp?
I'd try searching google for other DNS IPs and adding them manually on the according machine
Edit: oops, work's firewall is blocking my pings, so I can't really say if they're operational :(
(
pzyko is a whaler on the moon and carries a harpoon, Mon 24 Sep 2007, 15:41,

I'm just on dial-up, not using a router.
What file or box do I add an DNS IP to, having found one?
(I can't ping them myself.)
Oh, do they go in hosts, in fact? No, that makes no sense at all.
(
_Felix suspicious character from prehistoric caucasus, Mon 24 Sep 2007, 15:45,

Have a look here:
www.opendns.com/I've used their DNS servers for a while now without trouble.
Even if you don't use them it has instructions on how to set it up.
(

Bah, I can't access them via their IP address (208.67.219.99) for some reason.
You might think they'd have taken special pains to make sure that was possible.
(
_Felix suspicious character from prehistoric caucasus, Mon 24 Sep 2007, 15:59,
archived)
Haha! Oh my.
Well their servers are 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 if you need them.
(
Kamikaze Stoat balanced for lean, Mon 24 Sep 2007, 16:05,

normally, you configure your DNS settings like this
www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/networking/expert/tcpipdns.mspxbut I can't say if it works with dial-up, could depend on your provider (maybe it even isn't possible to use this for dial-up connections, I haven't been on one for years and forgot)
