Disappointing :(Northern Lights was shit.
The missed out the entire ending and changed a character's name to 'avoid confusion'.
IT WAS MORE FUCKING CONFUSING TRYING TO WORK OUT WHY THEY CHANGED IT.
AND IT'S NOT A FUCKING COMPASS FOR FUCK'S SAKE! IT'S AN ALETHIOMETER!
I'm refusing to call it 'The Golden Compass' out of principle now.

3. In the book, it starts with her in the retiring room, the throwing mud balls comes laterk, but ooooh no! The film has to change every TINY FUCKING DETAIL
4. THE BEAR KING IS CALLED IOFUR RAKINSON, NOT FUCKING RAGNAR!
5. THEY MISSED OUT THE ENTIRE FUCKING ENDING! HOW CAN THEY SEE ROGER IN THE LAND OF THE DEAD IF THEY DIDN'T FUCKING KILL HIM IN THE FUCKING FILM!?

Yes, I was quite disappointed that she hinted at the endingand failed to do it. They did a good job making the daemons look not shit, then they had to chop off the best part of the book.
Also I got annoyed that whenever she read the alethiometer they did the exact same SWOOSH zoom into loads of gold sparkles. Try not copy paste in a movie, plx.
